Philip A. Archer

Phil is an Operating Advisor, helping the firm on digital, performance marketing and ecommerce searches across all industries. He had been a full-time Managing Partner for Wiser for the past 17 years, before returning in early 2023 to serve as CMO for NetSpend – a company he co-founded back in 2001. Prior to joining Wiser Partners in 2006, Phil was a Practice Head at the Zyman Group, a boutique, marketing strategy consultancy led by Sergio Zyman. He was co-founder and CMO for DigiPro (document processing/imaging) and TrueCentric (CRM SaaS). Prior to start-up’s, he worked for Frito-Lay in domestic and global marketing roles, and before that, he was an Account Director for Leo Burnett (Procter & Gamble), Mexico. He is an advisor and angel investor for various Austin area start-ups in the ecommerce and ad-tech space. Phil grew-up in Mexico City, and has extensive experience in Latin American markets. He earned his BBA at The University of Texas at Austin, and his MBA from Northwestern (Kellogg).
